PRUNUS SARGENTII
Grower Notes:

The Prunus sargentii, also known as Sargent Cherry or North Japanese Hill Cherry is noteworthy for its stunning spring bloom with clusters of pink flowers in early spring. Flowers are followed by small, purple-black drupe fruit which are bitter and inedible for us, but the birds love them. The Sargent's bark is a nice mahogany with adds to its interest along with its stunning bronze orange to orange-red fall color.
